I am looking for any information on this family,
on the 1900 census of Washington County,

Census extract here:

I am hoping this is the person I have been
looking for, for some years now
Edward HORTON b. 1861, Brierley Hill, Staffordshire, England.
all we know of Edward, family says " Gone to America"
Any help on proving this is our Edward
would be appreciated

If that Edward you found is ours (and I think it could well be) then that John fits in with that Edward. Perhaps we should try in the newspaper in Penn. to contact descendants of Doris, born 1922. Wonder where Edward went to after 1900 census. Unless he died before age 50.

Brownsville not that far away.......
Still not sure if its our Edward though.
Yes Val, will look for Penn newspapers , and try the newsgroup for Doris.
Strange nothing in the 1910/1920 census for any of this family.
Looked on shipping lists for Edward , but no luck yet
