My father lived in Kalkaska back in the 70's. He moved back to Texas in 1976 (about). A really good friend of his said he got a phone call about then...maybe a little before...from a woman he dated/met and was told he had a son. His friends said he bragged about it, as it was his first born son. Nothing was ever mentioned to his family about it when he married my mother. They had a son in 1977, so this brother I may have would have been born before that, as they were not expecting when he received the phone call. This is new information to me and my father passed away in 1996, so I cannot ask him.

If anyone who reads this knew Darroll Boyce Oakes, born 1945, who was in and out of Kalkaska, MI, please please please contact me. If I have another brother out there, I would very much like to meet that part of the family.
