That's great news, Gary. Best of luck with your renewed relationship. That must have made your heart swell, seeing her with a baby.

Thanks, MrBill.

Default found

Hi,
Thats a good idea. Its not often you get to hear about the success storie.
I was adopted and found my mother and father! It was a little late for the mom she passed away the year I found the family. I did find the sisters though, and aunts and uncles who took me in like I was always there. The dad I got to meet, different dad than my sisters. He passed away a few years later. I will always be greatful for finding them. I just wanted to tell my mom I didnt blame her and somehow felt a great love for her. I did get to tell the father.
I am now searching for my brothers father. I found his mother and got info on the dad. Its just really hard when its such a common name. Robert David York, lived in Mystic ct. Was in navy I think. came to florida they had my brother and then he disapeared. We would like to find him I think he is still living. It would be a blessing. I even have a high school picture of him. Thanks for giving me the chance to ramble on. God Bless........Linda

good idea.

I found a long lost person from my past, was able to reconnect and make amends. We both needed some healing, this connection enabled the process. Now we've both moved on again, the past is now tender memories without sadness or shame.

Default This is my Success story By larry lee jr

I started looking for my older brother when I was released from prison in 2004. It wasn't until I finally found the City-data Forum that I was able to make any progress.

At first, I had a hard time learning the ropes of how the site works. But there were many people who were willing to tell me what to search for and how to word my searches.

City_data bloggers are cool! With just a little bit of information from me, like the city we lived in and my brother's name and age and people started sending me newspaper articles and other information.

I found my Brother through a newspaper article that was written about his Son, Nicho, who was fatally stabbed in a San Diego park in 2005. After I found out that the family was still in San Diego, eveything seemed to fall in place. My wife and I made reservations for a fall reunion in California.

I was able to talk to Tony, my brother, several times. I hadn't seen him in almost 30 years! I learned about his son and how he died. I found out that he was still married to the same woman and they were getting ready to celebrate their 32nd anniversary.

Funny how things work out. Shortly before we were to go on vacation to San Diego and meet the rest of the family, I found out that my brother had died.

My brother had been fighting alchoholism for many years and on a friday evening in early september he lost that fight.

Even though I never got to see him alive again, I did get to talk to him several times and share news about our families and our lives. I have reconnected with his wife and children and we were able to attend his funeral service and share memories with all his friends in California.

I especially want to thank Susan13202 for all her help. She gave me so much.

Larry

Larry I'm very sorry to hear you didn't get to see him in time. I'll let Susan13202 know that you wanted to thank her for her help.
