I am looking for help. I was born in Miami, Florida on 5/21/67. Months later I was adopted by a family in Bronx, N.Y.
I know absolutely nothing except that my name was supposed to be Francis (So I was told). I also know that my biological tried to get me back but was forced to proceed.
My adoption was through Catholic Charities.
I would really like to find my biological mother! I don't want her to carry this burden anymore. I just want to know who she is. Why? What was going on?

The best site for adoption information is Adoption.com. You will find lots of information on how to proceed, as well as state-specific laws. (look up Florida, where your adoption took place) They have links to registries where you can sign up with your known info, and if your birth mother is looking for you, they'll put you together.

Make sure you keep a valid email connected to your profile here, because if she is looking for you and googles the information in your title, she will find your post.
