I am trying to find some history of the Boschert family that lived in ballentine.I work in an assistant living home and one of my resident lived in Ballentine She tells me her father had the 1st post office and general store there. She cannot remember the year. I thought she might enjoy reading about her family. Thank you so much for any information.

When posting, it is very important to be sure your spelling of names and locations is correct. It appears you spelled the city wrong.

It is also important to put whole locations, such as Ballantine, MT and names of the people you are searching for, such as Ernest A. Boschert and his wife, Josephine Prasch Boschert and that they had a daughter, Margaret, I guess that one would have been the one you are talking about that you assist.

Anyway, the whole store is in the link below. Takes a while to load for me as it is a really big story. Once you get there, if you go Edit, Find on This Page, and then put in his last name it will take you to the right place. Owned a hardware store and was a postmaster.

Looks like he started his business in 4/1907.
