Have you established any ties with the Metis tribe? He might be an enrolled member. If the tribe has any pow-wows, they might be willing to make an announcement that you are looking for your brother. Somebody might know something even if he's not actually there.

Thank you both for your comments. I have established some friends in The Pas Manitoba who are trying to help me. They are my age and maybe a bit older so it is difficult to find anyone who remembers my Dad. Some of the older Generation remember his name but don't know about the son I am looking for. I have re-conected with a woman who I played with aged 7 and 8 years old, in The Pas ! We have become good friends. I am going to wait until after Christmas and go even more public in Manitoba. The Metis people who I am in touch with are marvelous people.

Yes, I did do the DNA. No, it was not him. So heartbreaking, his birth date was bang on the dates I am looking for. He is a nice fella too. We are no longer in touch as such, he is no longer going to seek his Bio Father. It took me a week or two to pick myself up and start again. I thought I was a tough woman LOL, I'm human after all, it hurt me. Now going into my 13th year of my search. I won't give up !

I have found out that the baby (then) was Baptised. Although he is listed with my Father's name and the name of his Mother and Godparents, they are not able to release the details to me, Privacy laws. I have no right to ask even though my Father's name is in black and white on the Registery.
I asked about it but probably knew I would not get the info, I was not dissapointed but happy that at least the baby was named and it was official as such. Of course no Birth Registery would give info either.

I have ben in touch with the man I did DNA with, we are now friends ! Onward I go.

Hi all, I need to find information on a name of a woman. She died in 2006, she lived in Winnipeg at the time of her death. Her name was Evelyn Kitcheseesik.

Hey, I found the oldest born child to this woman, three other kids to add to his Birth Mother. He is working on it with me ! I simply asked someone I had been in touch with for two years a question and it led to this man. Onward I go.
