Hi all,
I have an older sister approx. 6 years older than me, so she would be 50 now.
All I have are details of when she was born.
My father won't give me the info (keeping secrets) & I would like to find her if anyone can help.
Her last name won't be much of a help b/c her mother probably got remarried & of course carried her new husband's last name & he probably adopted my sister Barbara so she would have been raised with his last name.
I have a feeling she doesn't even know I or her father exists.
I tried to go as far as I could, so I hope someone who's better at this can help me.
Here's what I have from investigating myself:
1. Arlene (the mother) & my father were married in Washington, DC on May 16th, 1960
2. They were separated on Sept. 1, 1961, so they were only together 1 yr. & almost 4 months.
3. They both lived at 4016 Belle Ave., Baltimore, MD
4. Her mother’s name was Ida Poland
5. The Certificate of Divorce was done on June 28, 1963
6. Barbara Susan Korn (my sister) was born on Dec. 15, 1960
7. Arlene was born on July 6, 1941
No, the names belong to one woman. I used her birthdate and searched for the name Barbara. I found a few but this one had the middle name Sue/Susan...so I listed it.
People move ALL the time! I did a few years ago myself. Was her mother from the Baltimore area? I didn't see her name/birthdate with any MD connections. I did see ME & MA with first name and birthdate match.

I know people move all the time LOL, but she's Jewish, & TN just isn't a real Jewish state. Not saying she didn't, just saying. Also the last names aren't Jewish, but who knows, maybe her mother married a non Jew or she herself did.
Her grandmother had the house in Baltimore, didn't I put that in my post?
Her mother & my father lived with the grandmother until they divorced. Then I assume she continued to live with her mother last name Poland.
From what I heard from my 1/2 sister, there was a brother (Barbara's uncle), but I have no name.
