Colorado now has open adoption records, but only limited access to info on adoptions before 1999 unless both parties consent through the confidential intermediary service. Read this page: Colorado Adoption Laws

In general, the best thing for birth parents of adoptees to do is to make yourself easy to find if the adoptee decides to search for you. Keep a listed number/address in the phone book, join adoption registries such as Adoption Registry - Records, Reunion Registries, Adoptees, Search, Reunite, Birth Mother, Father, Pa and any state/national registries you find. Include all information you have. Put a consent to disclose form on record in her adoption file with the state where the adoption took place, the adoption agency, and the law firm if you know it.

Keep your info current and updated. Most adoptees eventually search for birth parents, but you have to respect that this is their decision, when it's right for them. Good luck.

I've never heard of a St. Joseph hospital in Pueblo. It's either got to be St. Mary Corwin or Parkview. Probably too late for this but good luck just in case.

I hope you find her! As a daughter hoping to find her biological father I am happy to see a father wanting to find his daughter!
