I am looking for the grave of my Great Great Grandmother, Mary McCreary, born 1841 and died after 1920/one source has 1929. Her first husband was James Daniel and her second was James Alcorn. She should be buried under the name, Mary Alcorn. She took her Cherokee allotment on the Cherokee side of the Cherokee/Muskogee county line, just north of Braggs. The family lost this land to Fort Gruber. Her burial is listed as Braggs, no cemetery name or location. Could someone let me know what cemeteries are in the area and how to get to them? We have another 1850's family cemetery just north of Mary's land off of Hwy 62, that we have been working at cleaning up, so we are in the area several times a year, and would like to start looking this spring. Any help would be really appreciated.
Thanks,
Patty
