I am 24 years old and have never met my biological father. He was born in Pakistan and met my mother in Louisville, KY back around 1983-1984. He and my mother split up before I was born. The only contact that he has had with her since I was born was on my first Christmas; he sent $100 via Western Union from Washington state. I have been trying to find him on my own for the last few years and no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Here is what I know:
-His name is Imran Mehdi
-His birthday is March 15 but not sure which year (He should be approx 46 or 47 years old now
-He was born in Pakistan
-He attended "English as a Second Language" at the University of Louisville in the fall semseter of 1983
-He lived with two different roomates while my mother dated him: Daniel Boone and then Mohammed Hummadah (not sure on the spelling) both at Louisville, Kentucky addresses
-His best friend back then was Sohail "Pasha" (again not sure about spelling)
-His family in Pakistan are from royalty and back then owned some oil wells
-He may have moved back to Pakistan by now
I would love to at least find out where he resides (if he is alive and well), if I have any siblings, health history, etc.
He has a very unusual name, try googling it as there's several leads, you may have to make some calls to get the ball rolling. Keep us posted and best of luck.
Thanks Honeycrisp. Believe me, I have googled, binged, pipl'd, facebooked, myspaced, just about everything I can think of to find him and no luck. I don't have a picture of him so I am not sure what he looks like other than what my mom has told me. Even though his name is unusual here in the US it is pretty common in Pakistan. I have tried searching for him by country too and just no luck. I want to find him so bad, it is always on my mind.
Well, I guess that was too easy. What about trying to trace him thru the college, he may be on some mail list or email list where they can contact him on behalf of you or maybe they'll just give you the info, would prob. try pursuing it that way. I wonder if he became a citizen, back then he may not have til he settled down though, but it may be easier to find out some info if he has been residing here (rather than in Pak).
Yeah I already contacted the college. That is how I found out that the only class he took was "English as a Second Language". There weren't as many admission requirements for this class than regular campus classes so they didn't have much info to give me besides the month and day he was born, the spelling of his name and when he took the class.
