In the late 60's,A family ,in a small town near me, had lots of Buicks from the 1950's parked in their yard. Some ran, some didn't.
A couple ( school teacher and his wife ) complained to the Buick man.
The Buick man then had his property surveyed and found out half of the neighbor's vegetable garden was actually on his property. He promptly "planted" a non -running 54 Buick in the vegetable garden.
you need to spring for real legal advice instead of trying to get it from this forum. If you are having this problem just as a renter, wait until you become an owner.
Good grief. Just renting? I missed that on all the long posts. WOW, forgive me if this has been asked ~~ What's your LL say on all of this??
a short 6 foot fence will stop the minister. The retired couple on the other side, if needed I'll put up a fence between their cars and mine.
I don't have any trees, but their's hang over on my land.
I'm just in the stage of looking. It is a small lot, not too wide, that is why my tree shade comes from their trees. I figured a minister on one side, a retired couple on the other, a school and playground behind and the police station 1/2 mile away made this a possibility.
He isn't even rrenting !
All this drama is about a house he is only looking to buy.
From his posts on the Real Estate forum, he sounds like a guy who constantly spends his time looking and investigating cheap houses. ( USUALLY FORECLOSED AND VACANT )
I love the idea of some pretty landscaping and tossing in a couple of big boulders. It serves so many purposes; it looks nice, clearly seperates the properties, and prevents cars from "wandering" into your yard all without seeming like an obvious attempt to rope off your neighbors..good luck
Good ideas but the boulders won't be necessary.
DOT looked into the issue and will move the curb down 3 feet so both property owners have 8.5 feet of driveway. Currently it is 8.5 for one and 5.5 feet for the other.
The sellers (the bank and the selling agent) have notified the owner of the parked car that a fence or post will go up before the property is sold. Copies of this notice were sent to the School District since the guy's car is parked on their property as well.
They want to park all three of their cars side by side, and their own property-driveway does not make room for all three.
So whether I purchase the house or not, whoever the owner is, will be problem free.
They deserve total access to their entire lot.
Hello Did you get an answer to the trees and insurance issue? I would like to see your answers. thank you mastrohome@yahoo.com
Someone mentioned ministers from parts unknown. Well, the lady across the street parked her car on her own curb. The minister's wife went over and put a note on the ladies windshield demanding she not park there any more because of fear that she'd back into the car.
So, the minister's wife ain't no angel.
I know minister's. My current neighbor owns the mobile home and his own daughter has been evicted out of here 2 times. And when he does find a tenant it is someone from his church and they get evicted too for drugs, etc. So, there is a minister who's own family members, and church members, can't live in here without getting evicted.
I fail to see what being a minister has to do with your problem. An last time I read the bible only Jesus was without sin.
Why not be a good neighbor and tell them that you would like to purchase the house and if you do would they please not park in your yard.
I sense an only slightly veiled disdain for the minister, and respectfully I say that the minister is the one who's going to suffer here, not the future parcel owner.
LOL, ya think so. It's screaming throughout every post he makes.
Honestly I feel for the neighbors if the OP purchases the home.
