Well - there's numerous ways. If you want quick cash - a pawn shop is always a place to start.

If you want better value, I'd ask around or call around, because you'll want someone who is used to dealing in good jewelry and can give you a good percentage of its appraisal.

If its an heirloom piece or antique, then someone who specializes in that.

Often this type of thing is word of mouth, which makes it tough - but if you know someone with good jewelry -they may be able to point you in a direction to start.

But if all you want is quick cash - a pawn shop may only pay you a tiny percentage of what its worth, but you'll get that money immediately.

good luck!

Buy an ad in the classified section of your local newspaper.

There's no need to incur the expense of an ad, you're much better off listing it for free on craigslist, which will allow you to show pictures of the item.

Craigslist, or a pawn shop would be my recommendations. I'd try craigslist first, you could prob sell it there quickly...

For crimanys sakes don't post your address or have a buyer come to your house. Read this first:

I wouldn't waste time or money with a pawn shop or ebay or c-list.

Ohter blogs listed: thediamondtrade.com

I contacted them, or him rather in the past

He paid me in person since my diamond had a GIA report. The quote I recieved was high in comparison to other buyers. Good luck!!!

Sell it on consignment at a reputable jewelry store. Of course, if you need the money immediately, that probably won't work and you're going to take a loss selling or pawning it wholesale.
