I just did that free report with only one of the reporting places. I did that FICO also since in was cheap to do it with the annual report.
Fico did say I had a score of 824 and had reasons why because of credit
cards etc. I always did think over 750 was OK? I also don't use much of
the credit on the cards. should I get rid of the cards to raise this score?
I also did pay off the house however FICO could not see that either! However
it shows on the annual printout? I keep the credit cards because I was told credit cards are slashing credit which I had done on one card. The reason I never did use it much.
824 is a high score, in fact near the highest, they consider anything over 800 to basically be flawless. So you did good!
Thanks I was now wondering what to do! I also did open a card from Amazon to get the 40.00 credit off! That may have hurt me. However 40.00
dollars free why not? I also now donot use the card but do have it if I need it.
I also keep my credit cards even though I don't use them much. Just keep doing what you are doing, once you are above 780 you are lumped into the prime group. My score is in the low 800s, because they said I was too young (30s) and haven't had credit card long enough.
I think that no matter what, the FICO score gives reasons why it scored you the way it did, even if it didn't take too many points off your score. In other words, don't sweat the reasons. Chances are you can't fix them up better than you already have with a score like 824!
