Annualfreereport or whatever will send me the 3 reports but no actual credit score, that I have to buy from FICO's website?

If you want your FICO score, yes, you have to buy it.

Yes, the score is what they make your money on, so you have to pay for that juicy tidbit.

Credit Karma will give you a close approximation and it's free. My number was actually exactly what my bank reported to me when they ran my credit report for a refi last month. I don't see the point in paying for it since it can often fluxuate from day to day.

Quizzle.com will give you a free credit score and report - no strings attached.

Is there a down side to Credit Karma or Quizzle? I imagine your giving your social security number and email address to them...seems a little risky.

Hopefully if you pay FICO they don't sell your email or telephone number to telemarketers?

depending on how often you need it... you can sign up through www.myfico.com, get your score, and cancel within the 14 day window to get a free score. But, if the other two sites are less of a hassle, I'd go with them instead.

annual credit is free and they do say don't get all 3 at one time. Space them out over the year
and the fico is cheap if you do it that way around half price. Beware of not going towards the
correct place. Free Anual credit report is where to go
