never put an annuity in a tax deferred retirement plan, it makes no sense ,and you can make your own index linked cd very easy with alot less fees and commissions then the above.
sorry guy but an equity indexed annuity barely returns more than a cd on steroids would. right off the bat it includes no dividends which account for 1/3 the markets gains , the fees and commissions are pretty high and the participation rate in the index is usually capped at a pretty low level.
these have a use in a cash bucket as a cd with a little enhacement if markets go up enough but they arent close to an equity investment .
