Help! Does anybody know if you have a garnishment on your personal checking account, can the garnisher pull money on any of your other accounts? They only have my personal checking acct. number but there are other accounts with the same bank-

depends on who the garnisher is etc. IRS, is limited to about 25%. Some garnisher's can attach everything.....
Can an attorney if you have one, some give free advice. Search the internet re advice.
Contact the garnisher and find out what, why, etc. Best approach is to be up front re creditors and try and work out something ASAP.
Been there done that.
I might also add that I have PPL(pre-paid legal) and I can't tell you how much they have helped us.

Garnishments are subject to state law, which is highly variable.

If in doubt, open an account at another bank and move everything there, but continue to have your automatic deposits made to the original bank, and then move it every month as soon as it is credited to your account, which will make it harder to track down. If you live near a state line, open your new account in another state and do your banking online. That'll give them another big hurdle they need to jump over in order to attach your funds. The only advantage to having a bank in your own town is to cash checks that come in the mail. Nothing Ive advised is illegal.
