You can well expect to see some prisoners claim * 6 adopted kids * for a cash windfall.....
Think thats not possible ? Explain how the prisoners who lived in 4 x 9 cells claimed the $ 8,000 Home Buyers Tax Credit ?
So my point is : Watch for future abuse anytime the gov'ment passes out money.....
How many prisoners have received the tax credit? Of the 4,608 state and federal inmates who filed for the tax credit, 1,295 received the fraudulent refunds. That includes 241 inmates serving life sentences, to whom the Internal Revenue Service awarded a total of $1.7 million.
I was thinking this too. I know someone that adopted 5 special needs kids and has given them a good home. It can happen, but after hearing about this how many people will try to cash in? Where there is money to be had there are abusers.
