I have a check that was issued on May 31 that says "Void After 30 Days." I will not be able to make it to the bank until the morning of June 30 (Day 30) to deposit the check in my bank account. Does "Void After 30 Days" mean you must deposit and wait for the check to clear in a 30 day period, or does it mean that as long as you get to the bank to deposit it in 30 days, you are fine?

Why did it take you a month to deposit the check?

Is it a health insurance claim reimbursement? A lot of times they can re-issue you a check if you fail to deposit money that you are owed. The only reason that sits like that is so they don't have unexpected withdrawals on their books. If you call to explain the situation they will most likely be sympathetic.
