An interesting game simulating a condition of having lost your job and down to your last $1000, will you make it through the month? Play the game and find out...

No, I couldn't pay my bills. So what... I wouldn't just lay down and die. I'm "making it" in the world as long as my family and I are alive.

I made it through the month...reminded me of my childhood. Unfortunately many on fixed incomes dont get to go out for a night. They need to cook their own meals and not eat prepackaged stuff. No out of state trips, and any opportunity to pick up 50$ is worth it. Oh yeah I ate free lunch. Not many kids said stuff, but I was hungry so i didnt care if they did.

I made it through with $646 Left.

(And it's interesting how many 'unplanned' things happened, as well as how many options I would have taken which were not available)

Worthless 'game' IMHO.

But then, I grew up poor and live (well) but inexpensively.

Just played it and it's funny, crazy and realistic all at the same time.

So I have a toothache that needs a root canal, my registration is expired, my landlord raises my rent by $150 just in the first month, then charges another $350 when he finds out I have a pet, then someone siphoned gas out of my car and finally I finished the month with $793. I love how they throw you a curve ball at the end of the game by asking you to donate $5 to help someone in need, but I said "nope, I'm only making it through with $700 a month!"

I didn't find it to be quite so realistic. I think it is skewed. For many of us some of the description of the person you are in this game doesn't apply and never will. The questions only give you two choices to choose from and I could think of others that might be better. I think whoever created this game leans to the left. That much is obvious.

What I do like is the whole concept of a game like this. I just think it should be done differently.
