I would keep it a secret and not tell anyone I won that much money. I can only imagine the greedy family members that would come out of nowhere to hunt me down. I'd keep it all to myself and give a little to charity

Along the lines of your post, I don't know how feasible it would be now that they are older, but I always said "If I won the lottery, my kids would never know".
If we won $10 Mil, I would've taken the cash option, which would bring it down to about $6M, take out taxes and you're looking at about $3.5M. Not a major life changer by any stretch - college would be taken care of, maybe 1 of us would quit work. Otherwise I'm not sure my life would change all that much. We wouldn't move or do something crazy. My husband would probably buy a BMW. Maybe we'd take the immediate family on a cruise or something.
If you're talking $100M, that's a whole different ballgame.
If you win any major mega millions or powerball lottery game you HAVE to appear in public with your actual name. Those people that are on the news with the big checks MUST show up. Its not an option to remain anonymous. However, you can hire the right attorney and make sure you are safe from people contacting you, but sadly anyone you know personally, will know that you won.
Not in my state. There are five states where you can remain anonymous and mine is one of them.
Also, I read about someone who won Powerball and worked something out where his attorney accepted the proceeds and put it into a blind trust so no one knew who the winner was.
But anyway, some states do allow you to be anonymous and mine is one of them.
There have been a few serious options that have been completely overlooked.
(1) Re-invest in the lottery - hey it got you this far. 10-20 million would by a lot of tickets and you'd be (almost) guaranteed to win again - I have studied sadistics.
(2) Buy my very own space shuttle and do two chicks at once in zero gravity.
(3) Move to Utah and start a cult. Donate the rest to charity (specifically my religious cult). A win-win.
(4) Swimming pool full of hookers and don perryhon.
BTW, the mega-millions (lotto) jackpot is a huge $356 million. It would be mind-boggling to win that much... even after taxes and taking the lump sum, you would still end up with well over $100 million.

Mind-boggling, but I would still take it!
Actually jackpot got raised to 363mm!
After taxes, in cash you get about 158MM. So give away/spend/whatever 58MM and you still have 100MM left!
That is one of the things I would do, too. Hire a chauffeur and buy a 120" stretch Lincoln Limousine to be driven around in.
I would also allow my chauffeur to drive me in my current '76 Cadillac Limousine, too.
Attention is the downfall of many lottery winners FYI.....
