Bank of America does not have branches in Alaska, Hawaii, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Utah, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Louisiana, Kentucky, Alabama, Mississippi, Ohio, West Virginia and Vermont.

Wells does not have branches in Oklahoma, Louisiana, Missouri, Kentucky, West Virginia, Vermont, New Hampshire, or Maine.

No bank that I'm aware of has local branches in all 50 states.

Thank you for that informative answer. I had no idea Bank of America was missing in action in that many states. I do know, however, that this situation is a fluid one which changes over the years. It wasn't that many years ago (five? ten?) that Wells Fargo had hardly any presence at all east of the Mississippi River, although they were huge in the west. Then they bought Wachovia (I think it was) which gave them that presence in the east as well, although not in every single state, as you point out.

Want to get screwed over. Deal with Wells Fargo. Want documents changed, deal with Wells Fago. Want 35% interest rates, deal with Wells Fargo.

yes they do. wells , citi and Chase (now JPMorgan Chase)

Wells Fargo Sucks!

J.P. Morgan Chase & Co Lawsuits » Chase Home Finance Sucks

They have gotten too big , are unregulated and most customer service is outsourced in india now. Or mexico.

With Wells, I have never, ever, spoken to a customer service representative who had the slightest foreign accent. The last time I spoke to one was about 10 days ago. I cannot speak for the other banks.
