Default Any advice for a broke 20 year old?

First time posting here after lurking every now and then over a period of a year or so...also dont know if this is in the correct seciton of the forum...admins can move it if it's not. Thanks.

I decided to come on here and post a thread because I am in need of a lot of advice. Anything you guys can say to help keep my head on straight and get me out of my current situation will be helpful.

Here's the run down:

1. I am dead broke with $6K in debt (I know it could be worse, but read on please). Used up the last of my savings to put towards rent payment and food, so not exactly sure how I will pay next month's rent.

2. My mother and grandmother have some pretty big medical bills which they cannot pay because they are unable to work.

3. My father needs money too and is also out of work due to a back-related injury.

4. Sister has no college fund and I feel obligated to do something since I feel terrible that she's in the situation that she's in. She's very smart and I think wants to study something in the healthcare field, although I am not sure.

5. I havent eaten since yesterday morning and am going crazy.

6. Trying to find a job is like asking for more suicidal thoughts. I can't even get a f***ing gas station to give me a PART-TIME position. I've applied to exactly 145 jobs as of today (both from where I'm from and across the country).

7. I do not have a college degree and did a couple of semesters but had to drop out due to, you guessed it, no money.

Basically, what do people do when they have 4 others to support along with themselves when they have no job, no savings to hold them over, and no ability to think clearly anymore?

Is there anything you guys can think of that may be able to help out my family and I? I am the oldest son and feel terrible that I'm letting myself and my family down.

What would you do if you didn't have those savings? Am I not thinking of some sort of work I could be doing? I hav applied to all jobs including gas stations, packing places, printing companies, distribution warehouses, sales rep jobs, everything i can think of and see a job listing for. MSN career search probably wants to block my computer's IP since I've refreshed the page so many times

Honesty, I hope I do not get to that point. I have given up on available jobs that I can do and am qualified for. I have a friend who is a market trader who is going to train me soon so that is hopefully my way out. I have run out of savings before in the past, and wound up homeless, so I know how rough it can get. Hopefully, one of those places that you applied to with hire you. Regardless of that, from reading your situation you and your family will qualify for all kinds of assistance (food stamps, electrical assistance, etc). I would look into that too. I wish you the best of luck.

My parents would never do any of that assistance stuff since they'd rather be homeless than rely on the gov. I wouldn't feel very good living off that stuff either. But thank you for the best wishes. Hopefully i can come back here in a few years and be able to tell everyone how i made it out of this hole.

You could most certainly qualify for college assistance to a community college etc...

I think I may do that, but what should I do to put food on the table for myself and my family during those two years?
