Oh, absolutely no question. I once had a job that was so stressful I puked every morning before work. I quit after 3 weeks with no new job to go to. It was well worth it to me.

My job has TONS of stress associated with it.
But having a lot of financial security relieves a lot of it.
It's a fine balance and trade-off people have to figure out.
I'll let you know if I ever do.

Agreed.
I'll take the stress associated with my job in return for financial security. As I get older, I figure it'd be easier for me to take a pay cut and relieve stress than it would be to land a higher paying position. Might as well make as much money as I can while I'm young and be able to retire early versus having a low stress job and working until I'm 65 or 70.

This is a personal decision that only you can make. Some people handle stress better than others. Some people require more money than others. A high stressed, high paying job is worthless to you if your health is ruined or you end up dying. Nothing is more important than your health. Damaging your health is not only a concern for you, but also for your loved ones.

This is NOT about my job!!! It is about my parking problem at home with current constuction work, needing to change shifts at work hence pay decrease because of it. I am making the change in my work to accommodate the parking problem at home that is causing the stress. My job is fine!! Geez...

How about moving somewhere else? If you're leasing, then the parking situation and the management's apathy towards it is drastically hurting your living situation and should be enough to get out of the lease.

Like you I am frugal. It is VERY expensive to live in the DC/Northern Va area and my rent is really good for the area. Other than the parking, I love my apt., my neighbors are good and the area is very close to work and everything else I need. I just didn't like that I had to change my life around to accommodate a parking space... kinda nuts. No, moving isn't an option, at least not right now.
I will just have to live with it for however long this construction last. Unfortunately.

Sure, but if you can move to somewhere a little more expensive and a little farther away but with significantly less stress, would that be worth it? I don't know your area too well so it may be hard to do a cost-benefit analysis. I also highly doubt that your apartment is THE cheapest within say a 5 mile radius of your workplace.. if you think so, then at least prove it! (To yourself.) Look around, look at Craigslist, classifieds, etc.

Seems to me the source of the stress is irrelevant. You wanted to know if people had changed jobs to relieve stress. Most people who do that, or who choose not to do that, are dealing with stress in the workplace rather than in their personal life so if you want a wide range of opinions you're going to have to accept those. Just consider the advice that seems to apply to you and ignore the rest, it's nothing to get stressed out about.
