To whatever565656565:

Per your statement below -
I demonstrated that I didn't pay a mortgage on a bad investment that was costing $6000/month to carry. I did not demonstrate that I don't pay my credit cards, primary residence, 5 other investments, my 2 cars, utilities, etc. I have paid all of them, not a day late, to this very day.

I am curious why you couldn't sell some of your other 5 investments to pay of the one
costing you 6K/month.

There is no need to respond to this thread anymore. I did not and will not do what I originally suggested.

You will find it increasingly difficult to even rent with bad credit. People like you are bad risks.

As the others have mentioned...definetely not a good idea!
You'll ruin your credit, any loan that you try to obtain in the future, IE: mortgage, car loan etc will likely be at a ridiculous rate. IF you get it at all.

Time to step up to the plate and pay what you owe!

An interesting defense. Let try it on some other things...

"I was drunk, so I'm not liable for slamming into that other car and killing its occupants."

"I was drunk, so I'm not responsible for hitting my wife."

"I was drunk, so it's not my fault I was fired."

Yeah, this is working for me.

Look, you can't really be serious, either that or you were drunk when you wrote this post, too. If you want to stop living paycheck to paycheck, then STOP BLOWING YOUR MONEY. Changing your bank account won't matter. They'll come find you. And your credit history will be screwed up, so you can't buy a house, a car, or whatever else.

The thing is, you're the one responsible for blowing all that money. If you borrow money, and don't pay it back, it's really the same thing as stealing. So quit rationalizing and think like an adult whose responsible for his own actions.

You know what I think, you can be a little more considerate with your smart alec comment. People make mistakes and use credit cards sometimes if there in a tight spot, maybe you dont know what its like going from paycheck to paycheck, but if you did maybe you would realize when prices keep rising and you have no money in the bank god forbid its an emergencey than its a probloem. I am not saying what she is doing is right, if she can maybe negotiate with the creditors to reach a payment agreement than thats fine, but most likley if you are going from paycheck to paycheck it can be a little hard, all I am saying is she wants advice dont be an ass we could have done with the first sentence in your comment!

I dont know what it is, I have good credit but you are nastey with your comments. I feel like I should stick up for this person for some reason, I think she should call and negotiate with her CC companies, but sometimes if its between filling up your gas tank or paying a credit card, I think I know whats more important, If she dosent wanto totry and negotiate than I think that is wrong, but for you to say"people like you are bad risks" I just hope a financial situation dosent come your way one day! Carma Carma Carma!!!!

Default good advice!!!

Listen as I was reading all of these comments online, I became more angry! I am sorry that people are just plain nastey and like to bash people instead of give them some advice! Life is hard sometimes we all go through situations that we cant control(in your case financial) Ok listen call your creditors tell them your situation tell them you will list your expences for the month, provide bank statments to insure them its getting to hard for you to pay, tell them you want to apply for a hardship program they may even cut your intrest in half or do away with it!! They would rather get paid than not at all. Research online with the part CC Companies and read there terms and conditions to protect yourself. Insure keep a relationship with the lender and tell them listen I cant pay the mininum but I want to pay something, What can I do? If they will not settle than last resort wait until it goes into collections than maybe you can settle for pennies on the dollar(LAST RESORT!!!!) But if you have to choose to pay your rent or your credit card pay your rent!!! Dont be scared what other people tell you they do not have a crystal ball and cant tell you what is going to happen, so dont worry, listen you can do what you can do and thats it!!! Good luck and may God be with you!!

They will do nothing. What they will do is send your accounts to collection agencies or sell them to junk debt buyers who will then sue you for judgment and garnishee your wages.

That's your fault, so punish yourself, not the credit card companies. If you cannot make ends meet you have numerous alternatives:

1) Get a second or third job

2) Cut your unnecessary expenses (like internet connection)

3) Change your living arrangements. Share a house/condo/apartment with another family or get a room-mate.

4) Take classes at a university, tech school, or vocational school to improve your marketability in the job market. You're posting on the internet, so obviously you have the time.

5) Do what even cavemen were smart enough to do, move to another city where the cost of living is cheaper, or move to another country.

No, they just have to file suit, if you fail to answer the summons or complaint, then they'll file for default judgment, then the judge will issue a subpoena for you to appear at a debtor's hearing/examination and you'll be bringing your tax forms for the last several years, as well as a list of your assets and bank accounts, plus your employer's name and address.

If you choose to ignore the subpoena, you'll be in contempt of court. You'll be arrested and thrown in jail until you appear for your arraignment, and then you'll appear before the judge to explain why you dissed him/her in such a disrespectful manner. You better have a damned good answer.

Um, no, the wage garnishment will be taken out of your check before your employer sends it to the ACH for direct deposit.

Boy, and they said I was a whiner?

Bad risk=borrow and not repay. End of story.

Go to AA, they help you take responsibility for what you do when you are on a bender, and also, some folks there will help you find a way out.

Honestly, being a lush is a miserable sort of life, and the sooner you stop, the sooner you start living a real life again.

And before you start with I'm not a rummy:

An alcoholic has trouble because he drinks, period.

Look for your local intergroup, find a meeting and work the steps.
