good luck!

Justin calm down, you just posted 4 posts to a 3 month old post. All they people that responded have moved on and probably will never see this. And for a new poster you are getting close to personal attack territtory. Not a healthy way to start here. The original poster (a guy, not a girl), does he still even post here? He had a post that he requested removed months ago that discussed how he really spent the money - at strip joints. No joke.
He deserved a dressing down, if anyone did. And if anything, he sheepeshly agreed with it.

Obviously you have some credit issues. OK. Don't get mad at us.

Isn't that how he got into trouble in the first place?

When they catch up to you you'll find yourself in prison. When some big, ugly dude with a body covered in tattoos knocks out all your front teeth - you'll soon wish you had paid up instead of thinking you were being cool by telling the cc company to kiss off. How's your gag reflex?

Only $5k in credit card debt? I think this loose cannon is pulling our chains. I highly doubt this clown will go down the path of financial ruin for just $5k, and in a few more years that $5k will seem even smaller thanks to inflation.

You'll wish you could simply pay $5k in fees to repair your credit down the road, but you won't have that option once you burn that bridge with your creditors.

However, the mentality which allows folks to walk away from their homes with no shame may be spreading (isn't congress encouraging it by the bail-outs?).

Bail-outs for the rich.

The rest of us get to live in the woods on the charity of the raccoons!

What a shameful mess.

A lot of people lied, yes.

A lot of people connived at that lying for their own profit.

A total lack of ethics underlies this mess-experience tells me not to look for ethics among the rich.

We sewed the wind, reaped the whirlwind.

I don't advise you to stop paying your credit cards. Just try to pay all you can on them. Maybe get a second job. Get a budget , cut out some of your expenses. Just live cheaper and buy just what you need not what you want.

I know I have entertained that thought too. My reasoning is that the credit card companies have charged excessive interest rates and I have more than paid them what I owe. So , why not just don't pay them. But my conscience won't allow me to do this , so I will continue to plug away at my debt. Making sure I don't add more debt to it.
