"Credit Card Services" is a total scam! (payments, mastercard, accounts)

It used to be that you could block a caller from hanging up and freeing his line simply by not hanging up your phone. I think his line would be automatically freed up after a minute or two, but too bad we can't do that now. Even with a large bank of outgoing lnes, if everyone did that to them, any boiler room operation could be brought to a screeching halt in just a few minutes.

I keep getting calls from these people too. I even had one jerk that was "going to come through the phone line and get me". I hope he likes meeting Mr. Glock!!!!

What about getting one of those news stations to take action. Maybe they can report on this scam. That usually seems to work (sometimes anyway).

At the moment this company say they are operating from Florida at 12472 Lake Underhill Road, Orlando 32828....

Under no circumstances give any credit card details over the phone if these people cold call you offering to lower all your interest rates using their 'negotiator' (in my case, apparently a wonderful German man called Mr Viktorius!) They take $800 and run.

Any federal agents reading this, please give 'supervisor' Lattavius Maxx a call on 1 888 276 2909 and pretend to be a prospective target.

Given the length of time this scam has been going on, and the utter lack of response by the FTC, FCC, and other Federal agencies, I can assure you that no Federal agent is monitoring this thread with any intent of doing more than passing time while eating another donut and leaning back in a chair.

The do-not-call list doesn't work any better than anything else this incompetent group of professional leeches in Washington has done to help the average Joe.

Take down the numbers of your local congresscritters. The next time one of these companies calls, be very polite, eventually tell tham that you don't need their services right now, but you have a friend in desperate need of their help. Read off that number, and smile.

I have also just received a call from this group calling themselves Card Services. When I asked the representative which bank she was calling from she said "Card Services - haven't you heard of us? We represent over 500 banks and can offer you lower interest rates."

The rest of the story went the same way ending the same way.

HOWEVER there was a phone number left on my caller id. from Minnesota, I'm in Southern California.

I tried to call Cardservice International Inc. - who have a website and location in Simi Valley, CA but I got a "security officer" who sounded as slippery as the representative who called me.

Searching further I can not find Cardservice International Inc listed on the California Business portal - a site where your can check to see if a corporation is active with the State. Well this thread is very thin as well, but Cardservices International is a merchant service who processes credit cards and has no influence on lowering your interest rates. I have received no reply from them to date. 2/26/09
