won't give my name is on a distinguished road
Default won't give my name

I received a phone call8:43pm from creditcard services. The phone number was 877-838-4347 on my caller ID. It instructed me to call 8006764060. I was told there was important information about my credit card account. I was on hold for a human for five minutes then Corday came on and asked my name. I asked him what company he was with. He refused to tell me anything until I gave him my name. I told him that I wouldn't and he spewed that it was against regulations and he needed my name and I refused. He stated I called them. I stated yes because their automated call phoned me so what the hell was the problem that he couldn't tell me who he was with. Your name ma'am again. I asked him his name and he said Corday and then he proceeded to ask for my credit card number. I asked for his superior and he refused unless I gave him my name. I refuse so instead of him telling me what company it was for he still tried to get my name. I told him that his company called me. I ended up hanging up and saying I would report them to the Better Business Bureau which I do intend to do. I can't understand why my name was so important but he still refused to tell me who the company was....

I have been getting these phone calls for months now. Every time I tell them I am on the do not call list and they hang up. I have caller I.D and it just says out of area. How will we ever be able to report them if we can not get them to stop hanging up on everyone.

I just report the company name online at the do not call list web site..They hang up on me too when I ask them can beat a zero interest rate because I owe no credit card company anything..

I have been harassed mercilessly by this company and I do not even have any debt or credit cards. I just reported them to the do not call registry. It probably won't do any good. I am going to get myself a crossing guard type whistle and every time they call I'm going to press 1 to speak to someone and blast them with the whistle when they answer. I doubt it will do anything to get my number removed but revenge is sweet! Some of the rest of you may want to try it too it might be fun if they were getting hit by their victims, right and center!

These are the same folks who run a bogus car warranty business. (You may have heard that one as well.) They try and sell you a service for reducing credit card rates, and I think it costs something like $990, which they bill to your credit card.

The call you got probably sounded something like this:

“Hello. This is Heather at account services. And we’re calling in reference to your current credit card account. There’s no problems currently with your account. It is urgent however that you contact us concerning your eligibility for lowering your interest rate. Your eligibility expires shortly. So please consider this your final notice. Please press one now on your phone to speak with a live operator and lower your interest rate. Or press two to discontinue further notices. Thank you and have a great day.”

Put a stop to Heather!! You can read more about the company behind this scam here:

Found elsewhere, this data is from multiple sources easily found using Google:

The common link of all of these calls is an individual by the name of Ran David Barnea who owns several shell companies, including but not limited to:

Registered Agent Name Entity Name Entity Number
BARNEA, RAN BMV DEBT MANAGEMENT CORP P01000066469
BARNEA, RAN METUKON CORP P04000017339
BARNEA, RAN PHL INTERNATIONAL, INC P06000037387
BARNEA, RAN D AMERICAN CONSUMER ADVOCATES LAW GROUP, LLC L07000068732
BARNEA, RAN D BETUOCH MANAGEMENT VENTURE CORPORATION P01000033598
BARNEA, RAN D AMERICAN DEBT NEGOTIATORS, INC. P03000028746
BARNEA, RAN D BEST LEADS CORP. P03000028749
BARNEA, RAN D NELAM INTERNATIONAL CORP P03000106935
BARNEA, RAN D ESV INTERNATIONAL, INC P06000037450

You can get names phone numbers and addresses online from the Florida sunbiz.org website by doing a name search and then drilling down.

American Debt Negotiators‎ (561) 483-7337 you can also send an email to hr@BMV Corporation‎ 561-886-1150 aka BMV Debt Management aka BETUOCH MANAGEMENT VENTURE - this seems the likely parent or consolidation company owned by Mr. Barnea and is at the same address as ADN.

Apparently, various state attorneys general, the FTC, the FCC, and other governmental agencies have been notified numerous times over months and perhaps years, and not seen fit to do anything. Does the lack of response to the Bernie Maddof ponzi scheme now make more sense?

BTW, with shell corporations, don't expect to find any of the big players at any listed address. They know better than to spend time there.

The calls to your phone are done by autodialers, likely from an affiliated company PHL, and from undisclosed locations. There is some thought the calls are from other shell companies or from out of the country. When you press the number one to speak with a representative, you are actually dialing into a call "response" center (usually in the Orlando area) - none of the telemarketers there actually dialed out a call, and they have no way of putting your number on a do not call list. From the scripts I've heard, they may not even know your phone number.

Given the above, you have limited options.
Option 1: Change your phone number. Since the company uses autodialers, chances are you will still get more calls. Rating 0
Option 2: Ignore the call, especially if you have caller ID. Rating +2
Option 3: Invest in a phone system that requires people to press a number to get to talk with you. Rating +3, but expensive.
Option 4: Yell, talk dirty, or try to distract the telemarketer. Rating 0, doesn't accomplish anything.
Option 5: Mess with the system to A: slow down the number of calls a telemarketer can answer and B: increase the costs of doing business. This will take time but could be worth it if a number of people do it. Rating +3

This website will generate a fake identity. Remember that the telemarketer knows nothing about you other than perhaps your phone number.
Fake Name Generator - Get a Random Name

Here is YOUR script, you'll want to prep the information from the random generator and have it printed out and waiting by the phone, you have to fit within the qualifiers of THEIR script so follow this script somewhat closely:

(prerecorded message, press 1, you press 1 and wait)
Hello, this is xxx with Card services, Are you responding to the lower interest rate offered today?
You: Yes.
Great! Because of the fact that you've been making your payments on time for the past 6 months with your Visa or MasterCard, you are now eligible for a lower interest rate as low as 6.9% on all of your existing credit card accounts.
(At some point, your phone number may be verified. You can use the random number, or one of the office numbers, like (954) 424-9037.)
Would the lower interest rates benefit you, or do you make your payments in full each month?
You: Yes, it might benefit me.
What would you say you owe between all of your credit card accounts?
You: I don't know for sure, maybe (make up a round number between the minimum 3,000 and 10,000)
On how many accounts is that on?
You: (make up a number from 2 to 5)
What are the current interest rates on these accounts?
You: I don't know, they're high though. A lot higher than 6.9%, I'd say 12%+ on all of them
If you continue doing what you are now, how long do you think it will take you to pay these off?
You: I'm not sure, At least (make up a long time frame).
Are any of your accounts closed, past due, or over the limit?
You: No.
OK, great. My job is to make sure you're still qualified for the lower rates. Which credit card account would you say is in "best standing," your Visa or MasterCard?
You: (use whichever card name the random generator made a number for)
OK, go grab that card and let me know when you have it.
You: (pause for a minute and make searching sounds) OK, I have it.
Flip the card over and verify the customer service number on the back.
You: Looks like 1800-XXX-XXXX (insert the toll free number of your most hated telemarketer service http://800notes.com/
OK, flip the card over to the front and verify the account number from left to right.
You: Boy, that's hard to read... XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX (use the number the random generator made
What is the expiration date on this card?
You: (use the randomly generated one)
OK, flip the card over again, on the back you will see a series of 7 numbers, what are the last 3? (CVC code required to allow purchase to the card)
You: XXX (make it up)
What is your current mailing address zip code?
You: 33428 (or use the random one)
Finally, just for verification purposes What are the last 4 numbers of your SSN
You: XXXX(again, use the random number generated)
OK, just hold onto the line for one minute while I verify your account information. I'll be right back with you.

At this point, if the card is run, it will come back as a fake.

I'm sorry, that doesn't appear to be a valid card number.
You: "WHAT! I can't believe that!"
Would you read back the card number again?
You: "Alright, (read back the card number but change one digit in the middle)
OK, just hold onto the line for one minute while I verify your account information. I'll be right back with you... I'm sorry that doesn't work either.
You: "I must have put my glasses somewhere..."(Read the number again, changing another digit)

That number doesn't work. Do you have another card?
You: Sure. (Use another randomly generated number and repeat the above.)
OR----
You: "Look, I can't seem to read these numbers without my glasses. Would you call my husband/wife and get him/her to give you the numbers?"
If they answer yes, then give the following:
(561) 488-3109‎, ask for Ron or his secretary.

That will have them calling the main office and clogging the line.

Default Credit Card Services STOLE MY NUMBER!!!!!

Hey All... I am new to the forum... but last Thursday I received a call from about 300 people wanting to know why they received a call from my number. I had to change my outgoing message on my phone (because my business phone is also my home phone) to state that if you have received a call from me and don't know who I am, that it was a Fraudulent Call.

Does anyone have any help/similar situations with this????? I want to draw up a cease and decist letter, but wouldn't know where to send it. Does anyone know how they are using or got my number?
