of course. but i think the poster i was responding to was saying that it's sometimes necessary. Point is - it doesn't hurt you, and it doesn't help you.

The older generation were better at handling credit and debt. I bet the percentage among the consumerist generation is a lot lower.

what's the consumerist generation? Boomers? I know i've read studies that show that millenials pay their balance in full at a higher rate than other generational "groups". though CNN just had a report on how little millenials are saving for retirement.

Yeah, but what's the percentage of people who have an 800+ credit score AND are left-handed? I'm one.

That's only if we assume that left-handed and right-handed people are equally likely to have 800+ credit scores. I'd be willing to bet that left-handed people are more likely to have 800+ scores than right-handed people. We're smart that way.

Default Credit Score 834 How di you do it? Reply!

Any debt we have at the time credit card is due or sooner we pay with no interest! We have cards for a long time with very high credit lines, own a home!! All vehicles are paid for, but just bought a new Farm Tractor. Build all the time so always charging supplies on credit with interest free up to 6 months , but pay off way before 6 months in full. That helps us.

Credit card NEVER EVER carries a balance month to month. Never (like for 15+ years).

You also have to purchase stuff and pay off early any big expenditures including mortgage

No late bills - even utilities. One incident will cut your FICO a lot. Even if accidental (lost in the mail, for example) - there is nothing you can do.

It doesn't take much.
