I had forgotten about this thread, glad to see it again.

More than three years later and my macaw is still hoping for that luxury condo cage.

To tell the truth, though, she is very spoiled and has plenty of toys, movies and attention. Just no credit cards.

She loves movies and has her own 42 inch tv near her cage, and I put on a movie for her when I leave for work. She has many movies memorized and talks, shouts and laughs at her favorite parts. Her favorite new movie is Inside Out.

That's just plain silly. -- Everyone knows parrots have absolutely no self-control when it comes to keeping credit card spending within established limits! What in the world is that company thinking about?

Our late cat Seamus was getting credit card offers....which I shredded. Then a call from the insurance company when our car insurance was up for renewal. I could tell she was dancing around something by asking the same question ten different ways and finally I asked her to get to the point.

She wanted to know who Seamus was and if he was driving our vehicles. I broke up, told her no, Seamus is only four, and he's a cat....

But why Seamus, and not any of the others?

I got a good chuckle out of the OP's story.

My dog hasn't received a credit card offer, yet, but it always seems weird that, when I pick-up her medications from the pharmacy, I have to sign saying she authorizes me to do so.

Just wait. Pretty soon, pets will be required to have a SS number, then they'll get all kinds of offers in the mail. Snickers had no interest in getting a job to help pay my gas/electric bill that his name was on.

I hear you, but I don't know that anyone could blame Snickers. We work for our furry or winged friends.

It seems that when it comes to pets, they assume, "What's mine is mine and what's yours is ours!"
