I would like to see what matches are given these days. I feel like my company is on the higher end of matching, but I have nothing to compare it with. That's why I thought to ask all of you.

My company matches 5:1 on the first 2%. Meaning for every $100 I make, I contribute $2, and my match is $10, so a total of $12. They also contribute a yearly bonus into it also, about 3% of my total income.

I figure this is I'm the higher end, but like I said, not really sure.

My husband's company matches 50% of whatever you put in. If you put in the max allowed by law ($17,500), then they put in $8750, but you have to be employed until Dec. 31 to receive it, and it doesn't go in until March of the following year. I'm a SAHM, so no 401(k) and no match.

That's a pretty interesting way to do it. Never heard of that before.

All things consider i feel lucky companies match anything.

Where I'm at it is 100% on the first 3% and 50% on the next 2%

So in other words you put in 5% they match 4%

I have to put in at least 5% of my salary to get a match. Currently, my company puts in 7% of my salary. It's supposed to go up to 100% in a few years.

I've never worked somewhere that had a 401k program at all, let alone a company match.
My husband's company just started matching a couple of years ago. They now match 100% up to 4%.
