Hey Katie, you want to know something funny. That actually happened but without the miracle cure part. A patient was diagnosed with a terminal illness and he did exactly that, believing he was going to die he took out loans and maxed his credit cards. However, it was misdiagnosed and he didn't have the cancer but it was too late. He actually ran up 200k going to strip bars, etc. etc. He actually sued the hospital for the diagnosis because he is in major debt now. Don't know how the story turned out in the end of whether he was successful with his lawsuit. Personally, I wouldn't award him anything. Nothing is certain until you are dead, he gambled with the information he had, too bad it was bad information, and he lost. I don't feel sorry for him, its life.
OMG!! What a mess he created! I agree, I wouldn't award him a penny either...he made the decision to spend, spend, spend.
