I could use a good laugh today but the OP won't post. Could the OP have found a way to make $30,000 ?
I do remember reading some add about a minister that could show you how to turn $40,000 into some 6 figure amount. The only thing is that you need to have the $40,000 to see how it works. LOL
Crowdsourcing isn’t just for indie filmmakers and the Hollywood elite. No, regular people can use websites like kickstarter to raise money for almost anything, even to go to college.
19-year-old James Ward raised more than $12,000 for his first year, after launching an online campaign titled, “Homeless To Howard.”
Ward has been updating his progress through a Tumblr page, which appears to have gone live Aug. 6, and is collecting money via a PayPal account. The posts have been highly engaged and Ward’s requests for money have made their way around the web. Teach for America tweeted about the campaign and the rapper Common shared a link to the site.
If any of us knew how to make 30K in 2 weeks, don't you think everyone would be doing it?
Actually I believe he said he needed 30k in 2 week, not make it in 2 weeks. I could get it, I'd have to cash out part of my IRA to get it, but I could get that amount in 2 weeks.
Robbing a bank won't make him $30k. Contrary to popular opinion, they don't keep that much cash around. Most transactions are checks and electronics. The last time I needed $600 in cash, they had to scramble to find it in several drawers. At most, bank robbers make off with $2k or so. Maybe if he robbed 10 banks...
A few years ago I was transferring money from account and moving the money to another bank to open an account. I asked to $5,000 and they didn't blink an eye, counted out the cash right then and there. Don't know what fly by night bank you use, but if they don't have $600 on hand, I'd find a new bank. To cover paychecks on payday, they would have at least 50k on hand to cover them for people that cash there checks. It wouldn't all be in the top drawers, they might only have 5k or so in all the tellers top drawers but together, but a knowable bank robber would know who the head teller was and force her to open the bottom drawer with all the money in it.
Of course the average bank robber is a complete moron and takes the few dollars the teller throws at them and run out of the bank.

What an amusing thread to read. I, for the life of me, don't know why I continued past page 1. I guess I was hoping to find some sense in it all. But I'm having a good chuckle.
Indeed, a lot of people could use and need $30,000, but surely not intending to find it on City Data.

I agree!
Of course they have cash on hand, stashed in what they call VAULTS!

A typical branch bank probably doesn't have more than 100k in cash in the tellers drawers and the vault combined. But they certainly have enough on hand in the teller's drawers to conduct bussiness for the day. Not having a mere $600 on hand to pay out is just ridiculous.
