Why would your parents visit their Florida home in the middle of the summer? That makes absolutely no sense when they have a beach home in CT. Something here doesn't smell right!

I think you are so funny and for you to have to ask about your social status even funnier. Look in the mirror to see a deluxe snob who doesn't relate to reality. You seem like a 16 year old high schooler. Do some volunteer work among the poor and down and out to help yourself broaden horizons.

My neighbors just got back from their Florida home. No reason it should stay locked up and unused for months...

A friend of mine (who lives in CA) just got back from Ft. Lauderdale last weekend. I'd never go there in July (at least not for pleasure travel), but other people do.

However, humility has little to do with social class.
I agree; I recently watched a documentary (The One Percent, made by one of the young people of that 1%) and this person obviously asks hard questions about his family and their empire and the ways of their wealth. So he still has developed a perspective of knowing how the rest of society do not live like him and his family and that awareness comes in spite of him being blue blooded upper crust.

I was also disturbed by the need to disclose the renters as ethnic minorities - what's that got to do with how rental income gets paid? Unless the person is saying, "... and because of this, I'm very tuned into the plight of immigrants and minorities and I'm learning what I can do to get involved." Somehow I doubt this was the intent.

It's not. You should read all his other posts. Most of the postings are trolling for comments about lifestyle, profession, or narcissist tendencies.

I would have voted...but no class was not an option.

Seems like narcissism should be one of the poll options.
