You would have preferred Robert Reich? He's not foreign...

Actually, such authoritarian leanings are common only on the right, Bunch of born followers looking for a leader, plus a few closet-demagogues looking to out themselves. Over on the left, it's more like a herd of cats. Not so much structure or longing for it either.

Yes, it's much better to have full government control of your lives so you have no personal freedoms. It worked so well in the countries who have tried it. I think we should follow the Soviet Model so we can have true freedom for everyone and everyone is equal. But only equal in the sense that the person most worse off is equal to everyone else. Great idea! Why didn't I think of that????

I've been following Brinker for almost 30 years. He's an example of what you socialists don't like. I can't believe you are praising him!

The hundreds of millions of examples of knee-jerk binary thinking are thus increased by one.

I didn't praise him. I indicated that he is thought of by some as a personal financial advisor. Did you wish to dispute that?

It's just so funny that those on the right use the term socialism & then point to communist societies to affirm their points.... they literally don't have a clue do they? Like Inspector Clouseau they are full of confidence about things which they demonstrate they really have no inkling of knowledge, like the Tea Partiers at the demos holding up the signs "Keep Your Government Hands off My Social Security!"

And calling Obama a socialist really is the pip.

Did you subscribe to Brinker during the financial brake down of 2008? Because I was. And he advised everyone Not to sell before the markets crashed. He told everyone, it's nothing, it fine, just a little correction. Then after the Dow dropped 7000 points Bob Brinker Apologized for Not warning his followers to get out before they lost. After the Dow hit 6000, he said We Were Wrong! Oops! We didn't see the collapse coming! Some Analyst he turned out be!!

You guys don't get it. One is supposed to be able to just utter the word 'socialism' and have it be an automatic demon word without question. You're doing too much thinking and not enough mindless parroting.

Thanks for making an argument against something that no one is arguing for.
