My mothers name is showing as living at sisters address in different state than mother lived. How this be unless she is getting credit in mothers name?

When my father died I had his mail forwarded here for a year. I was not getting any credit in his name or doing anything unsavory.

If you suspect she is, contact the credit card company and advise them that your mother has died.

My husband died 7 years ago, last year I got a new AMEX card in his name, that was strange, I called them, they had noted that I contacted them about his death, but, somehow the notation slipped through the cracks. I cut the card up.

Showing where? On a credit report or on a google search with one of those "Background check" websites. If you suspect your sister is up to no good Id have a heart to heart with her and talk about the term "Felony conviction" and "Prison."
