I am currently in the U.S., but might be moving to China for work. I would like to transfer USD back to the U.S. in order to pay certain bills in the U.S. that I will still have (online bill paying).
Can I open a bank account in USD or multicurrency?
If I can do this, would I be to transfer these USD funds electronically (online) to a U.S. bank? Are there any fees involved with this?
I would prefer to avoid any fees when transferring funds back to the U.S.

I would check with your American bank if they work with any Chinese banks. If not find an American bank that does and open account with them as it might help reduce any transfer fees. In general wire transfers between banks internationally cost money.
