This happened to me. Its horrible their company tricks people into this amazon prime crap. The fact that they offer your item with free shipping because it is included with amazon prime is crazy. There is no explanation of the rules of Amazon prime. Item says "free shipping from amazon prime" so you believe you are buying a product straight from Amazon and getting a "deal"... this was the worst "Deal" ever!! They don't even tell you on your order's invoice that you are agreeing to a charge of $99 a month later. How can a company not invoice you for this, but charge you later?

Yes, call them and they will easily refund you your money.. but this is not the point. What about people who don't check their accounts often? They are getting swindled by Amazon.

They give you a "free month" as if its a gift... Haa! Its only free so you don't realize whats happening to you as they charge you on the down low.

SHADY!

You only get charged if you don't read what you are signing up for

What is shady is the fact that you do not read the terms and comply, but instead blame the company for your ineptitude.

I just went through the same thing. I called Amazon, and they not only credited me with the Prime Membership, but they also credited me with the overdraft charge from my bank. The money was in the bank the next day.

It's fraud. Happened to me today too, exactly 99 dollars for something I didn't pay for. Absolute BS, I called my bank and had my credit card canceled as well as opened up a fraud report, you're not alone. Don't listen to anyone that claims they know better cause they're absolute idiots. This **** is real.

It's only fraud if they did it without your knowledge and consent. It's not fraud if your stupid and didn't read and understand what you agreed to.

Just got a $108.70 charge to my credit card for Prime Membership. A few weeks ago I read somewhere that I got a "free trial". I couldn't figure out why and figured it would run out and that would be it, until the charge. I receive notice of every credit card charge by e-mail and immediately called and got the $108.70 credited.

Looking into the free trial rules, you must "Go to the Manage Your Prime Membership page and click "do not upgrade"" to avoid an automatic "upgrade" to full membership. If you used any Prime benefits after going to full membership and don't cancel within 3 business days of it commencing, it looks like you're stuck with the $99 plus tax and membership for a year.

Amazon sometimes offers free shipping on items if you agree to a 30 day trial Prime membership. You can cancel the membership any time within those 30 days.

It seems fair to me. Non-Prime shipping can be pretty expensive.
