I'm so sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong place. I'm a little upset right now.
I think my insurance agency is really screwing me over on a claim and I was thinking about getting a public adjuster. I keep reading online that they take a percentage of what they get from the insurance company which confuses me. I have already been offered a settlement amount from the insurance agency. So will the public adjuster take a percentage of any additional money get me? Or do they take a percentage from the total amount I end up getting back (including the original settlement)?
I hope my question makes sense. It it wasn't the weekend, I would just call a public adjuster and ask them. Thanks for any help.
