My interest rate is 6.99% and I'm paying $392 a month. Way too much for me and a change needs to be made.

I don't know the FIRST (or last) thing about refinancing.

Where do I start?

Any help?

Thanks!

So we had to do this under my mom's info bc I wasn't working at the time. And we also hadn't bought a car in like 20 years. We've always leased. So we had no clue what we were doing .

I agree, if you have a job now, and have an 800+ credit score, I'd go talk to wherever you bank (credit union is better) and see if they have a refinance offer that makes sense.

Just saw this after I posted. $9334 / 24 months is $389 a month with no interest at all, which is about the same as you have for a current payment. So unless you stretch to a longer loan, your payment won't go down. And I wouldn't go to a longer loan on a car loan unless you can get <1% interest.
