I'm looking for an honest private lender for a personal loan. My personal credit is not that great due to my ex-husband having cancer and loosing my job. Now things I'm looking up for me a little, I have a decent job the last 3 years but then my Mom needed a knee surgery and I help her with that, but in doing that I got myself in trouble with loaning the money from a loan shark and I had been paying $1,500.00 a month just in interest, for a $8,000 loan, I know it was stupid of me, but my mom means the world to me so I did what I had to do to help her, because it was to the point she was bounded to a wheelchair. I'm digging my self a bigger hole and not able to keep with my payments. I have been scam 3 times by lenders asking me for an upfront fee thinking that it was for real that I would get the loan but I have learned my lesson. I just hope that there is an honest person that could provide me with a loan and I would do my best to pay it as faster as I can. I have a decent job as a Payroll Administrator in New York. If you need to contact me to discuss this further let me know.
I need the loan to pay the loan shark and get a reasonable interest and payoff the loan, right now I'm paying $1,500 just on interest and I think that was stupid of me to do that, but I just needed to help my mom.
So you want to go to a reputable private lender and tell them you need a loan to pay off a loan shark? Won't happen.
Why didn't you leave your Mother to take care of the debt she had from surgery? There are programs available, repayment plans that are reasonable, debt reduction plans, etc.
I'm from a 3rd world country in central america, the Knee replacement surgery cost was $13,000, I was hoping that I was going to have enough time to save the money, but suddenly she fell and was wheelchair bound, the Doctor said the more time she stayed in the wheelchair, it would be more difficult, because she would be inactive so I just got myself into deep trouble getting the money for her surgery and I don't regret it. She is a great mother.
My mother is 87 years old, and if you have been the other countries the health care system is not like the USA. Maybe I won't find a private lender by being honest and that's ok, but I rather be honest about why I got myself in trouble than lie.
Her age and the condition of health care outside the USA does not explain why you ran to a loan shark right off the bat....
There seems to be more to the story.

What sort of credit score do you have? Have you looked into peer-to-peer lending? Sites such as prosper.com and lendingclub.com?

Ya think?
I wouldn't even begin to know how to find a loan shark. Would you?
