Here's the article the thread title is in reference to: https://www.thepennyhoarder.com/jobs...e-extra-money/

Rather than just being time wasters where you'd be better off making money another way.

Which (if any of these ideas) do you think are the best? Have you tried any?

I'm pretty a lot of this is advertising for the companies mentioned.

Opening bank accounts for a few hundred extra bucks works, but it is a pain in the butt (and watch out for fees and minimums)

This might be a interesting idea.

Canada has a national policy about medical use of marijuana. There are about 10 nationally licensed legal growers and distributors, who sell directly to patients who have a prescription from a MD.

Canada's Parliament is currently discussing a law that would de-criminalise the sale and possession of marijuana. This would result in a controlled market, with licensed growers/distributors selling to local retailers, who would sell to adults.

The current licensed public companies are traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange, and any one can buy their shares. They are in the market place, and growing fast. In one example, a company that has about 10,000 customers that they supply every month, has seen their share price go from 40 cents a year ago, to $12 a share this week. They have just signed a contract to supply marijuana to a German company for the next 5 years. Germany allows the legal sale of marijuana, but no growing in their country. The Canadian company , Canopy Growth will be the sole supplier to the German market.

Any body can buy shares in the top 3 Canadian marijuana producers, on the TSX. The individual share prices range from $12 each down to $3 each. here is a link to the largest one.

It is a way to get in at the bottom of the curve. Medicinal Marijuana is all ready legal in all parts of Canada. The recreational market is around the corner, perhaps in 2017, or 2018. The estimate is that the Canadian market alone will be 7 billion a year. Remember that users don't just buy once, they buy over and over again.
