My credit union has a machine you punch your account number into, then pour in the coins. When it's done whirring and clanking, it deposits to your account. Nice and neat, no fee.

No. I misquoted the wrong person. I thought I hit Labonte18 but hit your quote instead and I thought it was Labonte. By the time I realized it I couldn't delete/change it.

But if you give them smaller change to get back a quarter or whatever it really does confuse most. I decided it's better just to make it a little tiny savings account.

I get an even $10 bill back in change.
If you always do this how do you have the change to do this?

I went into a little shop today to get a Coke after spending most of the afternoon out searching cemeteries and photographing grave.. Pick up a coke, go to the register.. $1.71.. Hand over a $5.. And then hear "Carol! Come here, I did it again.".. I'm like.. WTF is this? Woman couldn't count change back.

It took me all of 2 seconds to figure out that it was $3.29.. I have just been lamenting the state of education in our country the rest of the day. I mean, c'mon people.. I learned when I was like 5 how to count change back.. Ok.. Total is $1.71.. I give a $5.. 4 pennies makes it $1.75.. Add the quarter, it's $2.00.. Now three ones, total is $5.00

Yes.. You throw 15 cents in there and it takes me an extra second to do the math.. Ponderous, man.. Effing ponderous.
