Because buying a house improves my family's level of happiness, it's not just a financial decision. Heck, I purchased my home at around $550k and it's now worth high $700k, so it's pretty good ROI here. Also, I can't afford to rent the same house in my neighborhood now, it will cost $3500-3800 per month. So, renting in my case is unwise.
