How good are the Bank of America Reward points? I haven't had much luck with Chase Reward points.

I think it's funny how all these sites focus on the Global Entry reimbursement. It's $20/yr ($100 for five years). I wouldn't get a new credit card over $20/yr in reimbursement, personally, not sure why everyone is gaga for it.

At our spending levels of around $24,000/yr on CC (holy crap) we would get an extra $150 in cash back vs. the $95 annual fee over our Citi double cash, so it would come out even or slightly ahead, just have to see what other benefits they offer over the current Citi card.

Sure, there's always the possibility that the underwriters won't accept something. But it's the whole cake and not just a piece that might lead them to deny your app. The reality is, plenty of retired people are getting mortgages now.

many seniors who get mortgages apply before retiring or they file for social security . it was the delaying of filing that likely created the issue . we are heavily dependent on portfolio income and they can not count that unless it is outside your control we were told by 3 banks . you can try to find a bank that does asset based lending but the terms stink .

The x1.5 that the Chase Sapphire Reserve does goes above and beyond. I've flown to Japan 2x, Oakland, Reno, Chicago (2x but will be 4x by years end), Pittsburgh, etc. The rates through their portal are generally what I find online, so I'm content. My roundtrip Chicago to see my family in December costs me $81 roundtrip, which will be completely free as with every other flight I've taken given the immense amount of points I've amassed. I'm taking another Japan trip in December, for free, right after Christmas too! All said and done, I still have over 70k points! Priority Pass has been a godsend, at La Guardia it's before security and in TPE, NRT, and HND, they had amazing food.

As far as private client, I have a friend who worked at JP Morgan and went that route. I never asked whether the fee was reimbursed or the like though so I have no idea. This card has been worth it, especially when you pair it with the regular Chase Freedom at 5x points rotating categories. This last one has been restaurants (which includes my rediculous barhopping) and movie theatres. Before that it was groceries and transportation. Each dollar is work 7.5 points this way when taken into account the 1.5x travel credit. Can't forget that free $300 each year either. AMAZING!!

Well if you don't have global entry or precheck you get 5 years worth no matter how long you keep the card. If you got the csr at 450.00 with the intentions of keeping it a year you get 50k points, 300 travel credit, global entry at 100.00 it makes sense to factor it in.

you get a lot more too .

you get your points multiplied by 50% for chase reward trips plus many times the points for any trips you book through chase rewards . i believe we get 60,000 points as private client on the card . also free admission to some museums and cultural places , no overseas charges for use of the card . there is a whole list of perks .

but the main thing is we travel a lot .

Plus if you happen to get another chase ultimate rewards card with a bonus you can move those points to your csr so those redemptions get the 50% redemption bonus
