Hello,
I ordered a TV from a fairly reputed online store that arrived broken. I complained to them but the replacement TV will arrive in 2 more weeks. Can I put a stop payment on my credit card to protect my money in case the store reneges on their promise?

You can contest the charge, but it will likely be denied because the seller will inform the card company that they are sending a replacement. You have 60 days from the date of the charge to contest it, so why not wait to see what the seller does first?

I would wait. If the bill comes before the TV then send a letter with your payment asking that the charge be placed in dispute.
