Yes but not by choice it’s an employer requirement. My 401k is technically not held at the same place but could be impacted by an employer fallout

So funny I found this thread. Just last night I was thinking how much of our money I have in Vanguard funds and wondered if that was at all risky. Not through Vanguard, through my 401 and Schaub accounts I just chose Vanguard funds for those selections.

It is not risky as much as it leaves you exposed if your account is locked for fraud like our fidelity account was. We had to find other sources of paying bills and trading for 2 weeks

im pretty much all in fidelity. i have considered moving to jp morgan because i want to take advantage of a line of credit and whatever else i may be able to take advantage of. but i have about 14 years of history with fidelity and love their web site. so i lean against switching.

i havent really looking into it much. i wouldnt go if i was expected to pay a fee for management.

Or availability of different account types.

We have most in one place, but didn't roll over the wife's 457 after we retired because we can access the funds without penalty before age 59.5 and it has a Stable Value Fund to keep cash that has much better returns than savings accounts or MMs.
