Yeah, I already did them. My taxes aren't complicated.
I have used H&R Block and Turbo Tax online. Maybe you should try the web-based version

We use Turbotax and have for years. I guess their expensive, but we have a comfort level using their software, and we already have our State and Federal returns in the bank, so that's cool. If we owed money, that would be different.

Taxes are completed in TurboTax but not filed. I already discovered an additional $250 savings after completing them the first time, so I am content to wait a bit longer in case I read of another savings feature I did not include. I have noticed annual reductions in cost for the Premiere version. I have never used the H&R Block equivalent so I don't have a product-to-product comparison.

I will maybe eFile in another week to 10 days, and printout the State forms for mailing at the same time.

I usually use TurboTax, but when in and dealt with an actual agent with H&R Block this year for two reasons:

1) as I have rental income and had to file a total of three tax returns, I wasn't taking any chances that I would mess my returns up, which would present a painful experience if selected for audit.

2) I noticed that TurboTax was still populating a tax bill for my state of residence, even though I did not owe state income tax due to my employment status (military and don't live in state for more than 30 days a year). H&R Block took care of that and saved me over $1,000 . . . I'm still working to get the money I paid last year back!

Just sent it all to my guy yesterday.
So much work just to organize everything. I really need to stop using this shoebox.

Not sure what you're doing wrong. Have you updated your software?

I won't use turbo tax anymore since they force you to buy premier with stock sales.
Is that a new thing this year? I've used TurboTax for years and I pay a small amount for filing my state taxes, but never had to buy premier. It prompts me about 20 times during the process, and I just hit no each time and keep going. Never had an issue.

I used Turbo Tax for many years but switched to an accountant about 3 years ago. Best $250 I spend all year. We are hoping our move up to Maine will be complete in a couple of months....not looking forward to the state income tax but sure looking forward to getting out of FL. I hope my accountant will still work with us or I can find someone equakky good in the Portland area.

that is not true , they tried making you upgrade one year and dropped the idea . in fact they gave you back the ability that year .

i use deluxe and it certainly handles stock sales .
