Hello all,

parent passed away this year, and we are working on the estate thing. It turns out the house is going to go for over a mil. We need a bank to move some liquid assets into, and then deposit proceeds from the house sale for eventual disbursement. I've tried researching online, but of course 99.9993% of all bank reviews have to do with personal checking and credit cards accts, and merchant accounts.

I have seen despicable behavior of banks and lawyers involved in estate settlements (the non-profit where I volunteered was scheduled to get over a quarter-mil from an estate; the daughter followed up with us and found out the bank and lawyers were sitting on it with no intention of disbursement). So I am looking for a bank with accessible offices in the San Diego area that is honest and can handle estate stuff correctly*.

Any recommendations?

thanks

* I.e. not disburse balances without prior approval of the executor, which happened here in Texas at one of the biggest nationals apparently.
