Post News, Are you going to be buried or cremated or etc? Dying on a Budget? Try Cremation.

Cremation Rates Rise as More Opt Out of Burials to Save Cash.

It's never too late — at least not until you're dead, that is — to do whatever it takes to save some money here and there.

But even death, as it turns out, could be the final money-making scheme for those looking to cut corners financially, whether it's by opting for a cheaper coffin or even cremation to avoid burial costs all together.

What do I care how my body is taken care of when I die? I'll be dead.

My mom said to just toss her body into the ocean... what a litter bug!

My wish for cremation has nothing to do with money. I just find it too macabre to be put in a box in the ground. It takes up space and it's just macabre.

franksbacon is on a distinguished road
Watched a documentary how as many as 1-500 were burried alive by accident in the old days. Today they estimate 1-1,000,000 in modern countries. Screw that, burn my ars up, that why I and everyone else knows I'm dead. Imagine waking up 6ft under! No thanks.

I told my husband I want to be cremated and then loaded into a firework and shot off over the ocean. I've always wanted to go with a bang!

Actually I'll be cremated and my husband will probably keep my ashes on the entertainment center on the TV or maybe in a box in the garage.

Cremation for me;

My father was, my mother will be- as I will be. Sold our family plot years ago- all our ashes will be scattered in Block Island sound with the ashes of our cats.

Tis the right way to go. less space , in a crowded world. Should be a requirement.

I cremated my mother last year , along with my dog , same week. Not sure what upset me more , I guess the Dog..... I know , sounds strange , I thought so too , but , when I checked into the cost , it was ridiculous , to do a funeral and a burial. My Mother was always too practical anyway , if she had known the cost. ( I never told her ). Thats the way I want to go , same for the wife.

I couldn't really vote - if possible, I want to donate organs and issue, if not, I'd donate my body to a medical university and then when all were done with me - I want what's left to be cremated and then scattered over a body of water.
