My wife has supported us both the last 2 yrs while I have been waiting for my SSDI payments. I just gotdisability July 1st so things are really good now.
But last 2 yrs we have survived fine off of less than 17,000.00/yr. Roof over our heads, food, with some foodstamp help due to my disability. This has ended now.
So my point is, its not that bad out there but you don't need fancy living, cars, etc. when times are tough. I know what that felt like too when we made 100,000.00/yr/net just 3 yrs ago. We lost everything in a bankruptcy and started over and we are not complaining about how rough it is, but just taking it one day at a time. Now with disability we will be able to save 1000.00/month for later when and if it gets worse than it is now but think we will be just fine.
Remember the most important thing is shelter and food and clothing. Everything else is not really neccesary to survive.

Forest you may be right, it ain't very nice but that guy is pizzing everyone off with his bragging. He owns a damn porno store. Porno never suffers in a depression or a recession. I want to say worse things but I dont want to end up in a North Korean prison. |

It does appear that in our repressed culture, the porn industry is growing.
Regardless of the recession / depression that industry is growing, as well as movie cinemas and a few others.
Build a better mouse trap and you get to lead the world by it's nose.
I really can't fault anyone who builds a better mouse trap.
I know many folks who just hate Wallyworld. But they grow and grow. We just got a new super-duper wallyworld that opened nearby last week. If they figured out a better way to get market-share and thrive, then who am I to throw mud on them?
